Oct 28, 2013 7:35 PM in response to KaloPetriaby Papa Joe,Cisco is calling this a Mavericks bug and claims to have posted a bug report with Apple (15261749). The only thing I can offer while we wait is that the native OSX Cisco VPN client works better if you can setup an IPSec connection on your Cisco appliance.

Jan 8, 2014 11:54 AM in response to KaloPetriaby jishaq,Cisco has allegedly "fixed" this in a pre-release of their AnyConnect VPN client.
Changes in AnyConnect 3.1.04072 (and 3.1.04074)
The Mac OS X versions of AnyConnect were updated to version 3.1.04074 to resolve the problem of frequent disconnects of the AnyConnect VPN on systems running Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). Apple is aware of this issue and you can reference Apple Bug Report ID 15261749 if you want to open your own case with them. AnyConnect 3.1.04074 also supports Mac OS X 10.8, 10.7 and 10.6.
Once Apple provides a fix for OS X 10.9, we may choose to retract this workaround. At that time, both versions 3.1.04074 and 3.1.04072 of AnyConnect will work reliably with Mac OS X 10.9.
This might fix you. For me, it's only marginally better.

Feb 18, 2014 7:50 AM in response to Michele Thomasby jishaq,I finally got it fixed by downloading a newer version of the Cisco VPN client (though I accidentally downloaded an incorrect version the first time and complained that it in fact hadn't been fixed). Please see my response on another thread:
