Q: Why does my MBP refuse to sync bookmarks thru iCloud?

Why does my MBP refuse to sync bookmarks thru iCloud?  My other iMacs, phone and pad all do within minutes of a change.  My software is up to date.  What gives?  Ther is no control to force a sync.  WHY NOT?

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), MPro, MBookPro iPad iPhone iMacs

If you're using OS X 10.8.4 your software is not up-to-date. OS X 10.9.1 is currently the latest.

Software version doesn't mater. This has been as issue for the past 1.5 years thru numerous updates.  I've researched thoroughly and it's always 'Delete your bookmarks and then let it sync' or 'Go to iCloud and uncheck and then recheck the Safari checkbox'.  None of that works.  In fact, deleting your bookmarks has caused a sync that deleted all the bookmarks on ALL my machines and devices!  Never do that.  I remember that Mobile Me let you sync manually.  iCloud does not (??).

Is it ONLY bookmarks having this issue with icloud?  Do your other things coordinate, like contacts, calendars, etc?

Software updates do matter, though.  While iCloud Bookmarks doesn't it, you should be on 10.8.5.
