Hello,

Never had to use to use this site before and the issue isn't actually a Mac one as as far as I can tell but I'm hoping someone can help.

I should be contacting the BBC directly but the posting function has vanished from the mressage boards when I log in.

Anybody here use the iPlayer Doownloads app? The new desktop one?

It hasn't downloaded anything for me in about three weeks.

I click DOWNLOAD on the episode and it opens the app but just seems to hang.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have/use that program so I can't tell you the name to look for, but you can try looking for a .plist for the program in your user folder.

    Quit the application.

In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences. Move the .plist to your desktop.

Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.

If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.

If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Terminal.

    chflags nohidden ~/Library/

You will need to do that after any updates.

Try another browser.  I had no problems using the latest version of FF.
