There is no way to fix this. Purchases are forever tied to the Apple ID that they were purchased under. Not sure why you created a new ID, but the easiest way to make having two Apple IDs that will have updatable purchases on them is to go into Manage your Apple ID for the old Apple ID, and change the password on that ID to match the password on the new ID. That way, it won't matter which ID is coming up asking for a password.
