Actually apple solved my problem. I took the phone to the store and explained the problem i am experiencing. Despite my iphone was out of warrant, they have given me a replacement one for free of charge.

Unfortunately I have experienced the same problem. Almost 2 years without any wifi-problems whatsoever and shortly after the update my iphone can't connect to any wifi - and most of the time doesnt even find the available ones. Nothing helped - apple care told me it's coincident. They downplayed it and even told me they haven't heard of a common problem with the wifi after the update eventhough I've read news-articles about it. I'm really dissapointed in how they treat steady customers. I've always been a fan of apple and the iphone and have always defended it - but this unfortunately is a total dealbreaker for me. If this problem isn't solved my trust in their products is forever shattered and I will not spend hundreds of euros on apple products ever again. Shame on you, Apple!

My Phone Was Working Fine Until A Week Ago When The Wifi Was On/Off, I Thought It Was My Home Internet Supplier/Router, But My Wifes Galaxy S3, Laptop, Ipad Mini etc ALL Work Still. After Taking My Phone To The Phone Shop, They Told Me Its A Sofware Fault & I Would Have To Pay & Book Into Apple Shop!!! Now It Updated The iOS 7.4 It Doesnt Come On At All!! Is This Gona B My Last APPLE Product??? Depends How Apple Rectify This Problem. Look Out For An Anti-Apple Group On FACEBOOK.

Received the refurnished iphone 4s this morning went home opened the phone connected to home wi-fi activate it all ok so far.i choosed itunes to download only the new software (ios 7.0.4) without update and testing the phone i put it to update to 7.0.4 OTA..During the process of downloading on the phone the update and at the end od the process(i dont remember if at the end is installing the update)my phone lost my home wi-fi network.i restarted the phone and the wi-fi was grey..After that i got it back immediately for a replacement again and waitng for the ''new'' one.I dont think it is coincidence...think that it was a new(refurbished)phone and i got it only 2 hours.

i've same issue !! i can't login to wifi any more and i can't switch on the wifi on the setting !!! it's stuck !! what can i do and i'm living in tripoli libya and there is no apple center her to connect with them ! ,, it will be the last apple product for me if there is no solution for this problem

I have had the same problem, Only happened since IOS7 update and I have had new handset with same problem. Apple you need to sort this out or at least compensate the people who this is affecting!

Have had this problem since I updated to iOS7, and expected Apple to fix this. But with iOS 7.0.4 still nothing have changed. What has changed though is that now not even Bluetooth is working any more.
Tried again today and this solution worked for a few minutes for me, including getting Bluetooth to work, but then got the reply that the phone couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi network. My iPad2 with the same iOS works fine.
It is really disappointing that Apple doesn't take this problem seriously. I thought the price I paid was for the quality, but that seems not to be true.

I think, Allow 4s downgrade from 7.0.4 to 6.1.3 is a good idea!

I have been facing the same problem with WIFI after the ios 7 update, If apple does not replace or offer us and upgrade they will lose a lot of apple fans to sumsung including me.
The have to offer us and upgrade to iphone 5s for a resonable cost, as they are the one who caused the problem.
Or give us an option to downgrade the ios to 6.

my iphone 4s has succumbed to the dreaded wifi disease. I've managed to re set and regain wifi a few times over the last couple of weeks but today it has gone for good. I have read these threads with a great deal of interest and the lack of support from Apple is frankly astounding.
I'm voting with my feet and looking forward to receiving my new Galaxy in the next day or two. Such a shame I was a huge Apple fan but am truly disgusted at they way they are chosing to treat their customers. I firmly believe the damage has been caused as the direct result of (Apple enforced) updates resulting in the breaking of, what is to many people an expensive bit of kit.

The fact the it works better chilled shows that it would be a hardware issue, when you update firmware on a device if the device was about to go hardware wise will often go then because it is not getting proper response. It is more likily the update uncovered a hardware issue then that you do not have one.

After my post here I contacted Apple Support and I definitively must give them credit for a very professional response to my issues with the phone and my concerns that neither WiFi or Bluetoooth was working properly.
They informed me of the warranty and also about the consumer rights which applies for Sweden. Many other European countries such as Germany has similar consumer rights.
So even though my warranty wasn't valid anymore I got a new phone since I claimed that this problem with my phone was by manufacture and didn't match the specifications of the product when I bought it, which consumer rights in Sweden protects the consumer for up to 3 years.
Even though I actually bought the phone when visiting USA I could claim Swedish consumer rights. They made a reservation when I sent in the phone, but in the end the exchange of phone didn't cost me anything.
It took 5 business days until I had my new phone (and an extra day because UPS isn't the best delivery service in Sweden).
I am very happy now, and my trust and confidence in Apple is restored.

Why is your confidence in Apple restored? If anything you should be confident in Sweeden who forces Apple to take responsibility after the warranty has ended.
