Q: iBooks won't let me sign in
I just upgraded to Mavericks and was checking out the iBooks app. It transferred my current collection of books on itunes at this computer, but won't let me sign in to the app with my id. It won't even present the window or page to input my id and password. It just updated to version 1.0.1. Is anybody else having this issue?

For anyone else who has this same issue, I was helped by Cody at Apple support phone service. It was a bad verisign cerificate that he needed to go into the keychain access program under system roots>certificates>verisign class 3 public private class 4 or 5? He then had me do some convoluted steps involving never trust and then setting to system defaults. A restart later and the ibooks store was accessible and the books that could not be downloaded could. Cody was able to find the solution on Google, but I would call apple support if anyone else is having this issue.
