Jul 22, 2013 12:20 PM in response to aliianby Em Foster,Have you been playing Candy Crush and/or changing the date/time to get extra lives (like I was???!!) Set the time back to the right time and everything will work again including app store and mobile banking. Hope that helps ye!

To answer the question of why this causes an issue: this is part of the standard security features of the internet - when you connect securely to a server (as the i-devices do when accessing itunes), it has an SSL Certificate which has an expiry date on it -- the device checks the certificate to try and make sure you aren't getting duped by an out of date certificate, and if your date is set too far in the future (my son's was in 2019!) then it looks like the expiry date is in the past and it won't let you connect..

Jun 1, 2014 10:31 AM in response to aliianby macfandee,Thanks bunches .....totally helped me. Didn't even notice my son's ipod was 7 hours off and no idea how how many days/years. The auto time was unchecked.. checking it and rebooting the phone allowed me to connect him to his icloud. Thanks again
