Q: problems with efibre broadband and wifi connectivity?

I am having trouble getting my Apple Macs and Macbook Pros to connect via WIFI to our newly installed efibre broadband modem. I cn connect with a cable no problem and one of the Macs can connect wirelessly but the others either can't on can only connect for a few moments before the connection falls down. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    If you have USB 3, that can cause problems.

     

    Ask if the firmware is up to date and known to be compatible with the Mac operating system.

     

    If it is not, get an Apple Airport router, and connect it to the LAN port of the eFibre.   Setup the wireless network from there, and let the Macs connect to it that way.

    Note, many iMac PPC (pre-2006) do not have pre-installed airport cards, and can't connect to WiFi at all.

    Only certian models have 802.11g Airport cards already installed known as Airport Extreme.   To find out if yours is Extreme compatible, see this link:
