All I know is that my Iphone 5 used to pair just fine with my Acura and at some point with the various IOS updates it stopped working. So apple broke what was working software. It does not look like I can update my car bluetooth FW, at least no one knows how to do it.
So essentailly Apples reccomendation is for me to get a car that support their phone instead of them maintaining SW that worked in the past. Nice solution. Android here I come...
