Q: How to Fix no service after unlocking iphone 4 online, by giving imei number?

I unlocked my iphone. 4 from at &t. I gave my imei number and was unlocked. When i put in a smart micro sim (philippine carrier) it says

No service. I took out the sim card and put it on, restored, updated my ois, turned off and on, but still says no service. Help please?

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4

Who actually unlock your iPhone?
Did AT&T send you a e-mail that iPhone was unlocked?
Have you restore as new as given in mail?

I asked a friend of mine to unlock it for me. At&T didn't send me an email
I restored my phone with no problem. Still says no service sometimes it works, but most of the time it just says no service or searching.

Then your friend hacked the iPhone and that is why you get no service message.
You have also at that moment void any support from this and other Apple sites.
Your iPhone is locked to AT&T and only AT&T can officially unlock, no one else can especialy your friend.
