    Hey!

Well,I join the club of people having issues activating imessage and facetime over there numbers!

I currently use an Aircel number in Hyderabad, and have an iphone 4S.

Its on 6.1.3,and the updated firmware etc etc .

the basic problem is -My number doesnt get detected-settings>phone>number-UNKNOWN(cannot edit it as well)

neither does it show on top the Contacts screen(in my phone icon).and even on my itunes screen it comes up as-n/a.

Secondly-its been unlocked via gpp sim( and i used it perfectly well on tmobile in the states)but the problem somehow doesnt seem to correct itself here in India.

Both the imessage and facetime work correctly on my email id-but not on my phone number.

Can anyone throw some light on this issue?

P.S-yes i do have balance, and yes my phone sent activation message to the UK number.still no luck.

    Hey,

I am using an iphone5 in delhi on vodafone.

My iMessage seems to be working, but the Facetime option has completely dissapeared from my Settings, and contacts tab.

I have tried sending the Activate FaceTime message to the UK number, but still to no avail.

I have spoken to Vodafone, but they don't seem to understand FaceTime, neither are willing to accept that this a carrier related issue.

I had travelled abroad and used a local vodafone sim, where FaceTime was working.

    Any ideas?

Getting unknown charges for sending international messages to

    447786205094

I am being charged for sending international messages to the above mentioned number. However, I have no idea why this is being charged.

Although, After surfing here and there, now i understand that facetime or imessage sends this message to activate the service. But it is a absurd nonsense that I am being charged every time I am trying to use facetime / imessage. If it was once, It is pretty much bearable, but not everytime when you try to use these services.

If anyone from vodafone can read this or fix this for me, its cool. Else, MNP is the only option left with me.

Contact the customer care of Vodafone in your locality. Only they can help you answer your question.

    Hi All,

I'm facing the same issue with my iPhone 5. The iMessages have stopped working and the Vodafone guys have no clue. They are saying its not anything they have to do from their end. Their seniors also dont have answers and blame it on Apple.

Vodafone should actively look into it and fix the issue.

Has your issue been resolved with Vodafone & imessage?

My problem has just started a few days back and I am at wits end trying to get info and help from Vodafone.
