Q: First time MacBook Pro user. Migrated 49 GB of photos and files to my MAC but now can't view nor find them. Any help?

First time Mac Book Pro with Retina Display user. Migrated 49 GB of photos and files overnight but now can't find or access them on the Mac. Any help?

    It's hard to help you without more details, but here is an idea: use GrandPerspective to visually show all your files on your mac.

    This might not work if the files in question have been migrated to another user's home folder, which would not be accessible from your user account. Do you have multiple users configured in System Preferences > Users & Groups?

    When you migrated, did you merge the files into the current user or were you logged into a user with a different name than on the PC.

     

    If the username was different, log out of the current user and log into the user that was migrated from the PC.
