Q: Flipping the I-touch screen

I dropped my i-touch accidentally. The screen has stopped flipping. Can somebody help me by telling me how to flip the screen manually.

Thanks

iPod touch, iOS 5.1.1

    First:

    iOS: Screen does not rotate

    Next

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

    iOS: How to back up

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Thanks for the input. Have already tried these steps. I also think that the problem is hardware related (Think the gyro-MEMS, has malfunctioned). That is why I was looking at rotating the screen manually.

Actually lllaass, you can. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-click home. Select AssistiveTouch and triple click the home button. When a circle appears, press it and press device. Press rotate screen and select how to rotate. When you're done, triple press the home button. Triple press when needed.
