Q: Why can't Touch ID be used for purchases if Require Password is set to Immediately?

I want to use touch id for the app store but I also want it required for every download/purchse. I've run into scenarios where either myself or my kid have unintentinally purchased an app within the 15 minute window. Apple even forced a "require immediatley" policy for the lock screen when touch id is enabled so why can't I setup app store purchases that way?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4

Hello jasonkostempski

You will need to enable restrictions on your iPhone to require the password for every purchase. Go to Settings > General > Restrictions, enable and create a passcode for that, then scroll down and you will see an option Require Password and change that to Immediately.

I have that set up already but iPhone 5s: Using Touch ID specifically states:

Note: Touch ID cannot be used for purchases if Require Password in Settings > General > Restrictions is set to Immediately.

I want both
