Jan 23, 2014 7:29 PM in response to paulo soares123by gail from maine,Hi paulo,
Sorry but not sure I understand what you have written. It sounds like you are saying that the previous owner's information is still on the device? Is iCloud signed on with the previous owner's info? If so, then you must either contact the previous owner and have them delete the device from their Apple account, or if you cannot do that, then you will need to return it to the seller:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515?viewlocale=en_US
If the previous owner is still logged onto iCloud with Find My iPhone turned on, then there is no way for you to activate the device.
Sorry,

Apr 5, 2014 11:52 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby Jimmy-the-Greek,I have a similar issue. When I go to Settings > Store my Apple id is listed. I have even tried signing out and signing back in with my Apple id and password. Yet when I try to Update my apps in the App Store my wife's Apple ID appears and asked for her password I connected to iTunes on my computer, logged in with my Apple id and password, then connected my iPhone to the computer and did a synch, and the 'Sign in to iTunes Store' window pops up and it still asks for the password of my wife's Apple id. Very frustrating. How do I get it to use my Apple id so that I can update my apps? It was working yesterday, I did the iOS 7.1 upgrade today and now it doesn't work

Because one/some of the apps are purchased with her account.
You will need to delete those apps or enter her password to update them.

Feb 24, 2015 2:57 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby meryl finch,Thank goodness I spotted this. We have done exactly the same thing. We have given my old iphone to my father in law but it is still using my account and so I am getting his new contacts and photos and he is getting mine. It's been driving me mad! I shall try this solution when we next see him. Thanks

You don’t.
The iPhone is useless to you.
