Jan 25, 2014 4:13 AM in response to cfedorukby BlackPrintz,I have experienced the same on my desktop so I am not updating on my laptop until the issue is fixed. I tried doing a System Restore which did not help. I then checked my Recycle Bin for the MSVCR80.dll file and none existed. When I start my computer, I also get missing 'iTunesHelper' error messages on my screen.

Jan 25, 2014 4:31 AM in response to cfedorukby doehunter,Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later), this was originally posted by another forum user, turingtest2
Remove all of these items in the following order:
- Remove any 3rd party software which uses Airprint features (such as Fingerprint by Collobos)
- iTunes
- Apple Software Update
- Apple Mobile Device Support
- Bonjour
- Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Jan 26, 2014 7:53 PM in response to cfedorukby ChrisBujak,So I just ran into this on a client's computer.
The fix for us was to uninstall all Apple applications. Then installing just iTunes, no Quicktime.
So far three reboots later and we are still rocking.
Hopefully this helps.

Jan 27, 2014 8:09 AM in response to ChrisBujakby rothespl,Do you lose all songs and pictures when you do this

Yup - I did lose all my songs and playlists. But it forced me to to do some long awaited cleanup of them. The songs were still on my PC but had to import them all again, this time I can delete the duplicates.
Thanks doehunter. Your solution is what I was looking for.

Jan 29, 2014 5:15 AM in response to cfedorukby BlackPrintz,Seriously, this is the solution? I really don't relish the idea of rebuilding dozens of Playlists with hundreds or thousands of songs each. Are you saying that if I follow these instructions, I will have to rebuild my 7000+ song library and album art? Is this something to look forward to with the next iTunes update or the next one?
