Q: Can I use an Airport Express to extend a wifi network of another brand of router? If so, how do I set it up?
I have a Prolink H5004N modem / wireless router supplied by my Internet provider. Can I use my Airport Express 802.11n base station to extend the range of the wireless network? If so, how do I set it up?

Yes, you can if you permanently connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the Prolink modem/router to the WAN "O" port on the AirPort Express....and set up the AirPort Express to create a wireless network using the same wireless network, same wireless security and same password as the Prolink network.
No, you cannot if you were thinking of trying to have the AirPort Express connect wirelessly to the Prolink modem/router.
