I've followed the process outlined, but cannot uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support. Even after numerous attempts and re-boots, it stays sitting in the control panel taunting me. I can't delete the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\ either - I assume because I can't uninstall. Frustrating. Anyone have any ideas?

Jan 26, 2014 5:46 AM in response to Snooglepussby turingtest2,You should be able to continue with the next step even if AMDS doesn't uninstall. Most people have found that the subsequent reinstall works perfectly. If not then you may be able to repair and then remove AMDS, or you could try deleteing the recommended folders while in safe mode.

Jan 26, 2014 11:12 AM in response to SteveMP170by turingtest2,The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I removed all that you suggested, and now to install iTunes it says I need to have Apple Aplilcation Support on there. How do I get that back?
