Jan 22, 2012 6:46 AM in response to dmb421by æ¸ æ°´ã ãã,I had a similar problem with all of my devices not being able to log in. It was most pronounced on the AppleTV because I couldn't access my iTunes library via home sharing. I was being told that my password was wrong even after resetting it through the online services.
Eventually (one day later) everything but my AppleTV was working. I just did a full reset to factory defaults and that was able to solve it. Since you have a 2nd generation AppleTV and there is nothing actually stored on the device beyond WiFi and iTunes passwords, I would recomend you do a reset to factory defaults as it is very painless.

Feb 17, 2012 12:42 AM in response to dmb421by Luluhk,I have been having the same issue for days now.
My Apple TV is first gen... to factory-resetting it is VERY ANNOYING (takes FOREVER to re-sync)... i did it anyway... TWICE... and still not working... wireless connection working perfectly and all. Very irritating.

Feb 17, 2012 2:23 AM in response to dmb421by djedefre,It's a straightforward port-forwarding issue.
You need to forward ports to the internal ip address of your apple tv as follows:
TCP 123
TCP 3689
UDP 5353
TCP 80
TCP 4343
TCP 53
This may also solve other problems you may have with homesharing...

Mar 18, 2012 4:20 PM in response to djedefreby Anthony ÓDoibhailein,I have the same issue with my apple tv.
How do I go about doing this port forwarding?
Is it within the apple tv set up?
Hope this sloves my issue.

Jan 26, 2014 1:04 PM in response to japgarby Anthony ÓDoibhailein,From memory I think I ended up restarting the router, restarting the apple tv, doing any software updates.
Its one of those situatiosn where I got so focussed on just thinking it was the apple tv without realising that it was more to dow with what it was linking to and how it was doing this.
Let me know if this works for you.

Dec 4, 2015 12:28 PM in response to æ¸ æ°´ã ããby DoctorObar,That's useful suggestion "restore factory defaults" but...how do you do that?

Dec 4, 2015 1:16 PM in response to Anthony ÓDoibhaileinby Duane,Port forwarding should not be necessary.
If you were to do port forwarding, it would be done at your router.
