Q: Hi, I have a I phone 5 and I do not see the airplay icon in settings?

Hi I cannot find my airplay icon and I have reset my router, iphone and apple tv. I went into settings in my phone and I dont see it there.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4, I have rebooted everything

The Airplay icon is on the Control Panel. Sweep up with a finger from the bottom of the home or lock screen to show Control Panel

Sorry, I have also unplugged the router, the apple tv and turned off my phone to see if that would reset it. It didn't

Hey I tried the finger sweeping that did not work. When I go into settings I do not see the airplay and when I double click the home button I dont see it to the left either?

Your finger must start from BELOW the screen, not on the screen.

Once Again....

AIRPLAY DOES NOT APPEAR IN SETTINGS

In iOS 7, it doesn't show by double clicking the home button

IT ONLY SHOWS ON CONTROL PANEL in iOS 7. Do you know what Control Panel is?

Isn't the control panel your screen that you view with the icon's on it? I finally was able to pull something up from the bottom after multiple tries I see a airplane, wifi, and a few other things but no airplay icon? I think I am getting closer

no wait, can you tell me how to get to the airplay? I am trying to use my apple tv it is set up in settings I have updated the airplay and the updates I know they are both on the same wifi. But I can't seem to find the mirror and airplay to connect them

No, the Control Center is what you see when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The screen with all of the icons on it is the Home screen. And if you double press the HOME button you will see the Quick Launch screen.

The Airplay icon is near the bottom of the Control Center on the right. It is labeled "airplay".

ok thanks Lawrence, I am on the control screen now and I see a thing that says airdrop but no airplay? nor do I see the icon that they showed in the u-tube video?

Did you follow ALL of the suggestions in the support article that led you here?

Whatever Youtube video you watched, if it showed an AirPlay icon other than what's on the Control Panel, it's obsolete and doesn't pertain to iOS 7/

Turn on WiFi. Airplay requires WiFi.
