Q: I have a host mac and migrated my info to the secondary mac, I would like to constantly share the information, specifically quickbooks, on the computers.  Is that possible to work on one and the other updated at the same time?

It's possible, with some warnings, using Dropbox. One thing to keep in mind is that you can't have the QuickBooks files open and in use on both computers simultaneously.

This isn't really a Mac or OS X issue, but there is a lot of instruction and advice on exactly this out there on the Interwebs, so do your due diligence, and you'll be able to figure it out.

    your options:

    1. cloud storage solutions, like dropbox (above), icloud, etc.

    2. sync the files on the two machines, using a commercial product or rsync

    3. turn opn sharing and simply open the file remotely over the netwrok
