Perhaps the apps were purchased or downloaded with the old Apple ID. If so they will always be associated with it, and you will need the password for the old ID whenever you update them. The only way around this is to delete the apps, and purchase them with your new Apple ID.
In general it is a bad idea to get a new Apple ID, for this and other reasons. You can change the email address of an Apple ID and keep the same account forever; there is rarely a need for a new one.
