Q: My netgear wifi adapter requires me to push a connect bottom on my router. My apple airport has no connect button. What should I do to connect

My netgear wifi adapter requires me to push connect button on my apple air to install. There is not connect bottom on the airport.  Any suggestions?

    If you have a recent Mac.....

     

    Open up Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

     

    Click on the AirPort icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears

     

    Click the Base Station menu up at the top of the screen

     

    There is a setting for Add WPS Printer there, but it should work for vitually any WPS device

     

    Choose the First Attempt option as a substiture for a button, which the AirPort does not have

    If all else fails, then you will need to use the manual connection method suggeted by Netgear, not the WPS method.
