Q: Calendar & iCloud "403" error message

excatly the same problem,

i try to erase all ical stuff and re-sync, not solved anything....

no idea

I find a solution:

- go to sytem pref > icloud > unchecked calendar

- remove all this files :

home/libraryApplication Support/iCal

home/libraryCaches/iCal

home/libraryCaches/com.apple.iCal

home/libraryPreferences/com.apple.iCal.plist

home/libraryPreferences/com.apple.iCal.AlarmScheduler.plist

home/libraryPreferences/com.apple.iCal.helper.plist

- restart the Mac

- go back in the icloud pref and check calendar

enjoy !

Where do I go to to "remove all these files" as you recommend?

Any help would be appreciated. Receiving the same "403" error msg and unable to restart my computer unless I do a force quit.

Go into your library > Application Support and find the folder "ical", move it to trash

do the same for files in the "caches" folder and "preferences" folder.

then you must restart before re-activate your icloud calendar.

you can now go easily in "Application Support" folder "cache" and "Preferences" to delete the files.

I have been doing this since 1/22/14, many many times. In addition to reinstalling Calendar with Pacifist. And spent hours with AppleCare, 2nd level and Senior techs.

I hate spending $50 to goto BusyCal knowing that Apple will eventually fix this and I will want to come back.

I too don't have these folders.  Does anyone have a remedy.  Ical has crashed a few times and clearly there is a solution right?

AppleCare had me quit calendar, remove the folder ~/library/Calendar and log off the cloud.

When I restarted all was well.

Thanks rpoland, this worked for me. I used stef-j's advice to; "go to the finder, choose the menu "go" in the menu bar while pressing the "alt" key, choose Library."

You can now drag the "Calendars" folder to the trash.
