Jan 30, 2014 5:19 PM in response to Kimmi83by Wilburight,It only took me 2 days to solve this despite reading several threads and following several suggestions including tt2's well written instructions. I guess after a while we all have slightly different things hiding in our Windows setups, so there's no guarantee a fix will work on every PC.
iTunes failed installs aside, I kept getting the runtime error message on every reboot until my Win 7 finally responded to Microsoft Fit It uninstalling every little hint of anything Apple from its installed programs list. One last reboot and the error message didn't reappear, and only then did a fresh download of iTunes install OK. Phew!
Am I correct in assuming that Apple haven't commented at all on this issue, apart from offering a 'fix' that doesn't seem to work very well, judging by the number of queries here?

Jan 31, 2014 5:52 AM in response to squidgyboby turingtest2,You're welcome. Hopefully there will be very extensive testing before the next release, but you might want to wait a few days to see how others are getting on before you dive in.

Jan 31, 2014 3:15 PM in response to Kimmi83by jpants458,I followed all of the steps to delete and reinstall iTunes and I am still getting the message to reinstall...is that because I am still running on Windows 7? Is anyone else having issues with Windows 7 and iTunes??

Jan 31, 2014 3:11 PM in response to turingtest2by rafeast53,To Turingtes2 regarding the R6034 error message I ket getting. Followed your steps at deleting various apple programs, restarted my computer, reinstalled Itunes and....shazam, it worked perfect. This chat room was a real gold "mind" of information for me, considering I was determind to solve this problem without having to pay someone to do it. Thanks again.

Jan 31, 2014 3:19 PM in response to turingtest2by tct2125,I have tried all of the suggestions but cannot remove Apple Mobile Device. I moved on to the next and uninstalled all but that one. When I rebooted and reinstalled itunes I got the same r6034 runtime Error. I went to restore and chose a date that I knew itunes had worked. But after the restore, I received the same error plus one that said AdCore.dll file is missing. I'm stuck now since I cannot install iTunes. BTW, along with Apple Mobile Device not uninstalling, iTunes does not appear in my list of installed programs, so I cannot clean the computer of all apple software.
