I want to use my Ultranova Syntheseizer as the Output source for the audio, but my iMac (27-inch, Late 2013, Processor 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7, Software OS X 10.9.1) can't detect it.

My old macbook pro finds it so it's not the synth.

The iMac does find my Apple Tv, Sony Tv (hdmi) and headphones, but not anything through USB.

I have no idea on how to solve this problem, so I need all the help I can get.

usb does not carry audio anything in terms of audio act the role of being an usb audio card and that mean one needs drivers

if Ultranova does not making working osx 10.9.X drivers the your usb audio card will not function

go to their site and see if they support your operating system
