Q: I had installed 10.1 version from AppStore but I still see 10.0.9 version. On AppSore it is written that the 10.1 version is already installed

No sign of life of 10.1 version of FCPX after installation. What one see is 10.0.9 version. Why? My OSX is Mavericks

When you downloaded 10.1, did anything unusual happen during the process? Any error messages? Did you download 10,1 on top of 10.9, or did you first trash 10.9? Did you keep a backup copy of 10.9 (a good idea by the way)?

About FCP in the FCP menu. What dies it say?

Look in the Applications folder at the root level where the application belongs, what does it say the application is?

Move the application to the trash and redownload from the App Store.
