Feb 1, 2014 10:03 AM in response to Filmbarberby massimoalberto, the card accelerates down conversion cross conversion, however, gives you the output to 10 bits, which is still not supported by Mac OS X, and the mapping of pixel-by-pixel on an external monitor

Feb 2, 2014 6:53 AM in response to Filmbarberby massimoalberto,pixek-by-pixel mean that you can see every pixel (if you have a 4K monitor) of your footage without down converions. 10bit mean that you have 1024 level of color per color channel so less banding problem.

Feb 2, 2014 7:33 AM in response to massimoalbertoby Filmbarber, let me clarify this.
since I'm working with 4K or 5K images and my projector is a 1920*1080, if I use an ultra studio 4K, the images appearing will have more detail than connecting through my display port? is the how pixel-by-pixel works?
the monitor I;m using is a 2560*1440 resolution. which is better? connecting though the display port or through the ultra studio 4K?

Feb 2, 2014 8:27 AM in response to Filmbarberby massimoalberto,If your output is not 4K you do not have any advantage of using ultra stuidio 4k, for Color grading the real advantage is that you can out put 10bit color depth, and for color grading is quite essential
