Q: Notifications on my iphone aren't working

Notifications on my iphone and ipad aren't working, even though I have triple checked the notification settings on both devices. The settings are as they should be, do not disturb is OFF, and still I don't receive notifications until I manually open apps.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

    Hi meganfromor,

    Welcome to the Support Communities!

    iOS: Understanding notifications

    Troubleshooting notifications

Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

Note: Notifications use Wi-Fi only when a cellular connection is unavailable. Firewalls and proxy servers may affect your ability to receive notifications. For more information, see Unable to use Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

If you're not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:

    1. Verify that the app supports notifications.
    2. After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app to begin receiving notifications. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
    3. Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.

If you are still having issues, restart your iPhone and then reset all settings:

I hope this information helps ....

I'm having the same problem and have done everything in all your steps and still not receiving notifications on husbands 5s OS 9.3.2.  It's set up the same way on my other phone (6s OS 9.2.3) and I get all the notification that I've set up.
