Q: Can't pair Bluetooth keyboard with MBP.
Hi, everyone.
I tried to pair my Apple Bluetooth external keyboard with my Powerbook Pro 17" but coulnd't do it. The MBP kept searching for the keyboard and didn't find it during most of my attempts. There was one time when it did find the keyboard but could pair with it for some reason.
What am I doing wrong ?
I did replace the two AA batteries in my Apple Bluetooth keyboard just to eliminate the possibility that the issue was related to the batteries.
Can't the MBP pair with the Bluetooth keyboard just because it has a built-in keyboard ? I am currently using my MBP in clamshell mode (closed) and connected to an external Apple 30" monitor and a wired Apple keyboard. I tried to disconnect the wired keyboard but it didn't seem to make any difference.
This keyboard is usually used with my iPad. The iPad was close at the time so I am thinking (I didn't check when this happened) that the keyboard might have been paired with the iPad nearby and refused to pair with the Notebook. Is this the case that when a keyboard is paired with one device it can't become paired with another simultaneously ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
