Jan 31, 2014 1:11 PM in response to johnniecacheby Denis Papin,I had the pre-version 13C44 from the web but not very confident if it's safe or not. I am building a bootable Mavericks USB drive so I will apply the 13C44 on it.
After that, would it be possible to extract the WIFI driver from it to install it into the 10.9.1 ?
-
Feb 1, 2014 2:44 AM in response to Denis Papinby Denis Papin,Ok, I built the bootable drive with 10.9.1 and I applied the 13C44 (so I got a 10.9.2 beta). Then I extracted the wifi driver. I used the AppleScript someone gave us in a thread above to replace the driver by the new one.
I could not test the scripts before monday because my rMBP is at the store. So I tested it on my mac mini which does not have the ping problem but at least it shows that the new driver works.
As soon as I am done with the testing on the MacBook Pro, if it's a success, I will post a link to the scripts to apply the patch. At the end, we should be able to install the new driver without the entire 13C44.

Feb 3, 2014 2:52 AM in response to Denis Papinby Denis Papin,Hi guys,
I tested the script and it's all fine. It fixed the ping latency issue.
You can download the patch right here :
https://mega.co.nz/#!8VIj3CgZ!aWve67RDLRVDzhHWA5tOoG3C8TIAH4JHxrBx2oDWXlY
It will replace the wifi driver 6.0 with the 6.3 of the 9.2 beta.
It's very simple to install but please follow the instruction carefully. I ran it without any problem at all but be conscious you will use it at your own risk.
Cheers,
Denis.

Feb 3, 2014 3:10 AM in response to Denis Papinby nirmalts,Nice work, but I suggest you remove this as you are not allowed to distribute the beta or is parts. It is purely for the paid developer community. Apple will delete this thread some or later

Feb 3, 2014 8:51 AM in response to Denis Papinby Topfjoer,Haha! Kind of weird downloading my own script again! But I'm glad they came of use!
I just tested this new beta driver and in my case it seems to solve all my network issues! No more ping latency, no more stuttering airplay and no more issues with safari browsing or the app store! Great!

Feb 3, 2014 11:12 AM in response to ShaneD90by Alex15DE,I have testes the files... At Point 5 my System crashes.. no mouse etc...
I pushed POWER for a few seconds, and after restart THANK YOU GOD it seems the ping problem etc. has been fixed All runs good, and Ping is always stable and fast!
However... i wanted to check if the replacement suceeded (point 6). There is a different number:
Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (6.30.223.154.63)
It's not the number in the How-To!? Is that correct?

Feb 3, 2014 11:37 AM in response to Alex15DEby Topfjoer,Hi Alex,
The script tries to restart the system, but it may be that sometimes it takes a while before gets a "lock". I can image that it could crash if this process takes too long - never experienced it though. The script in the terminal probably also said it was "done" before it crashed? Anyway, it seems you're fine because you succesfully replaced your driver!
The latest driver indeed reports "Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (6.30.223.154.63)" in the system info. Denis changed the driver in the package, but not the Howto description.

Feb 3, 2014 12:31 PM in response to Topfjoerby Alex15DE,Yes, i didnt wait very long for restart The graphic freeze makes me nervous...
Yes, the script was done i think, and says something like it wants to, or will, REBOOT now.. nothing happend for seconds, than the freez.
Cool, so i have the newest wireless driver installed!? It seems to work fine

Feb 3, 2014 1:11 PM in response to Alex15DEby Topfjoer,If the script gets to "reboot" it's essentially done. From that point on, it doesn't really matter what you do anymore - a hard reset isn't a problem as long as it says "done" in the terminal.
Good to hear the new driver works for you too! Seems Apple found and fixed the issues!

Feb 4, 2014 2:43 AM in response to johnniecacheby dannyzia,When would the updates be available to the public.. Having issues also.. and not techincally minded to update drivers etc.
-
Feb 4, 2014 2:47 AM in response to dannyziaby Topfjoer,Some sites say it could be as early as next week... But that's unofficial of course.
Btw you don't need to be technically minded to replace the driver. It's just a matter of double-clicking two scripts. Just follow the Howto closely...

Feb 4, 2014 3:19 AM in response to ShaneD90by Carl_UK,Driver update posted by Denis Papin (above) has fixed all my remaining Wireless problems on my Macbook Pro Retina.
Wireless latency and poor connectivity have now been resolved, thanks Denis.
Not impressed with Apples reponse to this at all, not even an acknowledgement that there is a problem leading to people swapping their hardware, sometimes multiple times when it is actually driver related in most cases, poor show !
-
Feb 4, 2014 4:45 AM in response to Carl_UKby Topfjoer,Yeah, I don't get that either. You 'd guess this is an expensive strategy too - people who buy an rMPB keep swapping hardware, while others may actually buy a different product all together when they pick up on issues like this. Apparently, Apple thinks it's better for their reputation to not acknowledge the problem? Weird and very, very consumer-unfriendly...

Feb 4, 2014 7:09 PM in response to Topfjoerby dannyzia,Thanks. I might just wait for the public release...
However i did try do it as per the howto. First step of double clicking script to back up driver, computer says file is corrupt and asks if i would like to move it to the trash?

Feb 4, 2014 9:57 PM in response to dannyziaby johnniecache,You probably have to go to the system preferences -> security settings and allow installation of downloaded (non-apple store) stuff first.
