You do not.
If the contacts are on the Exchange server they are not on the device, the device is merely displaying the contacts from the server.
Setup the email account in Outlook on the computer an the contacts will be available there.

Are the contacts on the device actually added to the Exchange server?
In the contacts app, select Groups.
Are multiple groups listed?
If so, the contact has been most likely added to a group other than the Exchange account.
In Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Account, is this the Exchange account?
Nothing syncs through the iPhone to a computer.
Exchange accounts sync directly to a device, whether that device is a mobile phone or computer.

Yes i have multipel groups listed and the group "My iPhone" is not synced. And yes exchange is the default account. Can i copy and import them in some way or add that group under the exchange groups?
