I suggest you open up the file in Microsoft Word.  It is so much easier to find as it will format it in much easier to read format.

You will see something similar to these lines:

61.706 pdud: Decoding using Encoding 1

61.706 sms: MT SMS Message details:

    61.706 sms: Message ID:               0

    61.706 sms: Sender:                       +447786205094

Right above that what you are looking for starting with the string '06050415790000'.

Copy everything after that starting with the 'd2'.

Once you have this info, email the string to wind@theonlinemac.com.

After you completed that then you can follow the steps to disable logging.

I took alot of the info learned from this board and forwarded it to my contact at Wind's product team so hopefully they can resolve these issues as it doesn't make any sense for us to have to do this complicated work around.  Thank god for smart people like smcclay.

    Thanks for prompt response.

I found that number after I put the data into MS word, however it didn't come out as clean as you just showed.

Here is a screenshot, perhaps you can locate it? I've been staring at it for quite a bit wwww.png

thanks again to everyone! I will email the info to

wind@theonlinemac.com right away, not sure if my iMessage will start working right away ?

Try to do a Control-F in Word to search for the string 06050415790000 above the +447786205094 you highlighted. Your screenshot do not show this part.

As a reference, mine showed the following (minus the bolding):

    06050415790000d2e2b1252d4ea13f7b6fb693f7c4b05a0d7633efdcbd558c16b3e570b8d86d86dbcd7b30594d6684 d98ac399d168341a8d46635026c3e586c1dc309813d670355b0c97a3c5663198b0661cce60b35a4d 3894c566b821

    So I copied the following:

    d2e2b1252d4ea13f7b6fb693f7c4b05a0d7633efdcbd558c16b3e570b8d86d86dbcd7b30594d6684 d98ac399d168341a8d46635026c3e586c1dc309813d670355b0c97a3c5663198b0661cce60b35a4d 3894c566b821

The email provided in the post belongs to smcclay and he is helping us so I wouldn't say your iMessage will work "right away".  He was pretty quick to respond to my request for help though.

When you activate iMessage, make sure you wait 5 minutes, then perform *5005*78283#.

This gives enough time to contact Apple and back.  If you do it too soon, your logs may not have the response.

My suggestion is to restart the process.

Ok, I will do this entire process again and hopefully the string will show up this time!

Quick question, after I finish these steps shown below and turn the phone back on, this is when I try activating iMessage again, right?

    1. Dial: *KOOL*CSI# (*5005*274#) and hit Dismiss button.
    2. Dial: *KOOL*DIAG# (*5005*3424#) and hit Dismiss button.
    3. Once this is done, proceed to step 3 below.
    4. Wait a few moments for the command to process.
    5. Power off the device by holding down the power button and swiping to turn it off.
    6. Power on the device again.
    7. At this point, CSI and MA or CSI and DIAG logging should be enabled, depending on which device you're using.

Yes. You activate iMessage and wait for the "activating" message for about 5 minutes and then log.

Note you must ensure you have the ability to international text and it is not turned off.  I believe you can turn it off in self service portal.

Thanks to everybody for all of your help.

However, I have still yet to crack the code. I had the

06050415790000 and the+447786205094 in a few of my logs, I must have made a mistake or turned it off.

I emailed it to our good friend smcclay, he was nice enough to send me a message and tried to decode the string and send a message to my phone. Like I said I must have done something wrong; now everytime I follow the instructions on the keypad *5005* etc... to the max, I can no longer find these numbers in my logs, even though I do see I am being charged $0.25 a pop when I try to re-engage iMessage.

I am not sure if this is plausible, but perhaps I should just tell WIND to turn off my international texts, this is very frustrating, nobody at either company has done anything to really help out.

I appreciate all the help and love in this forum, it is truly remarkable.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know, otherwise I'll just tell WInD to turn off my international texts or have to change phone companies.

    Thanks again,

I am almost tempted to switch carriers and smartphone providers, troubleshooting these problems and this one especially that had a fairly simple solution, with the help of this forum, they should have done a way better job, they have everything at their disposal.

No thanks, to Apple or Wind who continue to refuse to help or say their is any solution; they should be ashamed of themselves, both of their customer service in regards to this was a complete joke.

It reflects the fact that they do not give a sh*t about customers and cannot even work together on something this seemingly simple that members in this forum solved with ease, on their own free time without being paid or compensated accordingly.

I guess a $1000 phone doesn't buy any respect or consideration, if Apple or Wind asks me for anything (surveys, etc...), I won't forget this.

Congratulations. You've discovered the meaning of the term "unsupported carrier". Perhaps the next time you consider spending $1000 on something, you'll do a little bit of basic research first.

Thank you to smcclay for doing the final activation step for me, such a gentleman. Also, thanks to everyone in the thread for recommendations in finding the baseband log file and user data line. My Wind phone number is now activated for iMessage and FaceTime. It feels great to finally have this resolved. Let's hope wind can get this resolved for all iPhone users.
