Q: FCPx not importing whole iMovie libraries nor will it allow deleting a library or event

I just installed FCP X on a brand new 2.6 GHZ mac book pro with 16 GB ram and it will not allow me to import any of my iMovie libraries. I can import an individual clip from iMovie library but what a pain in the but. Also, FCP won't let me delete any libraries or events. Why? Thanks

You send an iMovie project from the current version of iMovie to FCP.

Press Cmd-delete to delete an event.

You delete a library by moving it to the trash in the Finder.

I understand how it's supposed to work. It does not work. The move to trash option is not allowable to select

Your first message says you can't import an iMovie library. If you understand how it's supposed to work, why did you say that? You can't import an iMovie library. That function does not exist in the current version of FCP.

I don't know why you can't trash the event, unless it's the only event in the library. You might try trashing your preferences.
