Press Cmd-delete to delete an event.
You delete a library by moving it to the trash in the Finder.

Feb 5, 2014 6:32 AM in response to Movbufby Tom Wolsky,Your first message says you can't import an iMovie library. If you understand how it's supposed to work, why did you say that? You can't import an iMovie library. That function does not exist in the current version of FCP.
I don't know why you can't trash the event, unless it's the only event in the library. You might try trashing your preferences.
