Had the same issue, followed your advice and it worked. apple mobile device support never did uninstall, but that didn't seem to matter. I have itunes back and all my music came back like normal automatically. Thanks

Many thanks tt2. Solved my problem. Apple should be very grateful to you. I was hoping Apple and/or Microsoft would come up with an update to fix this issue but gave up waiting due to the annoying missing dll pop ups. It took about 30 minutes or less once I printed your instructions. Lucky Itoo  guess. A few programs remained diplayed in Control Panel after deleting them but were not diplayed after reboot. A few humourous items for you...

Aside from the 30 mins above, I spent about 2 hours troubleshooting a problem that apparently did not exist. I thought all of my wife's playlists were wiped out. I thought I had a backup but did not (I know) so I scared myself. She asks why I am taking so long on her computer and I explain. Then she looks at iTunes on the screen and informs me that everything appears to be there and she didn't use playlists. I'm sure I created them for her a few years ago. Your other post on restoring from an iPod is very good as well and I was starting to implement it.

As I was downloading the new iTunes, a pop-up for an Apple customer support survey appears. No kidding!!! "Timing is everything". So I was very honest about my feedback and it wasn't very positive. LOL.
