Q: changed routers recently-

Hello ATV gurus-

ATV showing only "Computers & Settings"- cannot move between either with remote control.

Switched router off and on, switched ATV off and on, (several times) tried connecting to PC with micro USB, is connecting but then not showing up on Itunes.

Remote is working to the extent that if you go through the shut down process (menu + down for 6 seconds) the light flashes as its supposed to.

My Ipad (to see if remote app might work) is saying that home sharing is off (even though its on)

To say that I am a litlle miffed is like saying Kim Jong Il is nice to his relatives.

Was starting to warm towards Apple products for ease of use and general relaibility, but this is the third time the ATV has let me down- 1st on an update where it hung endlessly, then the battery in the remote went, was replaced, and didn't pair afterwards, so I  am on my third remote (lost a second one)

Please restore my faith in humanity and all things holy from Cupertino.

How is the ATV connected to the network, wired or wireless?

How is the computer connected to the network?

Some routers create seperate networks for the wired and wireless segments.

Thanks Diesel- usually a wireless connection (both computer and ATV), however since I got new  the modem the problem arose- i.e. ATV showing only computers and settings, and cannot access either!

Just tried (again) to reset via micro USB to Itunes on PC. The ATV is not showing up under devices or on the "my computer" folder. Its not a usb port problem as the port is working for other devices- all very odd!

    Cheers!

Resetting the ATV is not the problem nor the solution.

    The issue is the network.

The ATV cannot connect to the network and therefore cannot connect to the Internet.

How is the ATV supposed to be connected to the network, wired or wireless?

If wireless, go into Settings on the ATV and add the new network login credentials.

If wired, is it physically plugged into the network?
