Feb 6, 2014 2:33 PM in response to mjkranzlerby mishmosh624,Going into settings on iphone helped me. I had to allow it to use my Apple ID for iMessages, sign in, then my phone number showed up on my iPad for iMessages. Hope this helps someone.

Jul 14, 2014 4:08 PM in response to Mhebby Molndal,Hey,
I think I figured it out.
I added my Apple ID address that I use for iMessage to my iPhone and then signed out of iMessage on my iPad. I let it sit for around five minutes and them I signed in again. My phone number was now a checkable box in the send and receive section.
hopefully this helps
Cheers!
