Today I opened up my I Tunes library only to find it all gone. I presume somethiing has change and I wasn't informed of it.  I don't know what happened and I want my library back.  I have almost 1400 songs and if my tunes are "IN  THE CLOUD" I would like to know how to download them all.  I woul;d also like to know what may have happened to make them disappear . This forum is for help with the iTunes Store, you might be better off asking in the iTunes For Windows forum.

Have you subscribed to iTunes Match ? What have you done to your computer/iTunes since your library last showed ? Have you created a new iTunes library - if you press and hold the shift key when opening iTunes do you get a choice of which iTunes library to open ?

Have you checked to see if your music etc is still on your computer, just not listed in iTunes ? By default on Windows Vista your library is stored under \Users\username\Music\iTunes - if your content is under that directory then you can add it to your library via File > Add To Library.

If it's not on your computer then you can copy it back from your backup of your downloads/library that you've been keeping, or you might (depending upon what country that you are in) be able to redownload some/all of your past music purchases via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage.
