Q: My iphone won't connect to itunes or my computer!

I had the same issue as HolleeNicolee and updating the USB driver like you (ahahmed) said and it's working again! My driver was not up to date.

I bought my iphone 5s 3 weeks ago to replace my iphone 4...

*** IS WRONG?!, WHY WILL MY IPHONE5S NOT CHARGE?!

*** APPLE!

I AM NOT AN IDIOT.

Don't talk to me about cables, I have been using Apple products since 1998 professionaly s a graphic designer, so I definitely know my way around.

I am so freeking livid I am about to turn my back on the iphone...

this is pathetic.

I am going to complain on the AIGA website, to see if the design studios across the country are having the same ******* problem.

My ******* iphone will NOT even connect to my computer, nothing absolutley nothing registers or happens with the official apple cords or even the **** knock-offs.

You guys REALLY screwed someone that put all their faith in your product.

Mozmex have you had any joy? mines gone up the wall also same as you nothing to do with cables etc. really frustrated!!!

Just wanted to say thanks, I spent an entire morning following the apple advice, uninstalling etc with no results. I used your method and it worked instantly. I have now got a backup of a massively improtant voice memo. THANK YOU!!!

i see you helped everyone so thats great! but you helped me all the way until after i updated the driver my driver updated & my phone charges now & my laptop connects to my phone but i still dont understands why my iPhone isnt showing up in my iTunes??? is there anything you could help me with ?

I have tried what has been suggested in this discussion, but nothing works... Anything else that might work?

None of this worked for me had to go to the apple store and they sorted it for me within 10 min :)

I have tried everything listed in this post and nothing works. All my drivers are up to date, my phone stopped connecting after updating iTunes. I am really frustrated because I have had so many probles with my iPhone that I am considering trading in for a Samsung.

this can help but there was another page in the apple support communities that i found somewhere that helped. i dont know where it went but i remember what i did.

like you, my iphone was NOT being recognized AT ALL by itunes. i tried a few things here and there and even tried using different ports and cables. that didnt work. but i found this information and it worked for me.

just as a FYI, uninstalling itunes from your computer wont delete any of the stuff you have on it. that stuff is on the computer and just shows up in itunes.

also, im doing this on Windows 8.

ok, so first, you get to your control panel. then go to uninstall program. thereare 5 programs that you will uninstall which is annoying but it worked.

uninstall:

1- iTunes.

2- apple application support

3- apple mobile device support

4- apple software update

5- bonjour

restart your computer. come back to the uninstall program page to make sure those are all uninstalled. then restart your computer again.

now, you can install itunes. then it should prompt to restart computer - do so, or restart if it doesnt prompt.

now try connecting.

i hope that helps. its a pain in the butt, but it helped.
