Feb 11, 2014 8:02 AM in response to ingiorgioby norm123,Hello ingiorgio
You can import the track into GarageBand and then split the tracks there. Once that it is done you can highlight the ruler section and then share the song to iTunes to get them separated out.

Feb 11, 2014 8:20 AM in response to Tony T1by C F McBlob,Audacity is probably best if it HAS TO BE free.
You can download a 30 trial of Adobe Audition if it's only for this one file. https://creative.adobe.com/products?sdid=JRSIL&ttsrccat=sem-na-ccm-cons-freetria l&skwcid=AL!3085!3!39071195560!b!!g!!free%20cs&ef_id=UmtaXQAABAl5yCxf:2014021116 1932:s

Oct 17, 2014 2:33 AM in response to ingiorgioby jenniwefer,There are many CUE Splitters available online, however, most of them are only compatible with Windows. Usually, Mac users can't find a way to split CUE associated MP3, APE, WAV, FLAC, etc. What's more, most of CUE Splitters support splitting only one or two kinds rather than almost all common audio files with CUE sheet.
You may prefer this step by step guide on how to split FLAC, MP3, APE, WAV, DTS, WMA, OGG, etc accompanied with CUE file on Mac and Windows.
It easy and helpful.

May 13, 2015 2:16 AM in response to jenniweferby pressurehold,You may also follow this simple method to split MP3 into seveval tracks
It also can split AIFF, Apple Lossless ALAC, FLAC, APE, M4A, WAV, AAC, WMA, M4B etc.
It even can merge audio files into one, increase audio volume, change audio channel etc

Feb 19, 2016 11:59 AM in response to norm123by Chuckster5150,I followed your directions here, but when I imported the long WAV file I thought I had separated into tracks, I found that it was still just one long track.
MY friends band recorded their live show and it about an hour. They play about 14 songs. But it's just one long WAV file. I need to separate all the songs out then export the songs into iTunes so I can create a live album.
It's just not working for me. I would appreciate some help. Thank you.

Apr 17, 2016 5:31 PM in response to ingiorgioby WolfeLogic,This is going to sound like a plug, but I had the same problem. I had a 1Gb MP3 file that I was trying to convert to an M4b, only my MP3 to M4b conversion app couldn't handle the large MP3. I initially tried using Garageband, but it kept crashing. It seems it couldn't accept the file (on a new-ish MacBook Pro w/ 16Gb ram & core i7... Figured that should be enough for the basics in Garageband).
I almost bought a $9 app in the store, but I decided to go with the "free" option first. I ended up installing "MP3 Cutter Joiner". I never use free apps. I tend to be suspicious of them (ads, what else are they capturing, etc.), but this seems "legit". And I like that it was in the Apple App Store as opposed to something like SourceForge (which I'll use, but only as a last resort). Just figured while I was on the forum, looking for the same solution, I'd give a shout out to the app that saved my afternoon.
