Feb 9, 2014 3:02 AM in response to Linby Klaus1,You can update to version 24.3.0
I am not sure about Flash - I don't have a problem with Flash on my G5 and 24.3.0.

Feb 9, 2014 3:53 PM in response to Linby iminthemix,I've tried v24 twice, on G4 PB and a 2gb 20" G5 iMac, and Flash does not work. If you go to about:config it will show plugins enabled, but none will appear in the plugin area of the browser as does v17.
I use iCab with the 11.5 Flash hack or TFF v17 and have a very stable experience, plugins enabled TFF. I am using 10.4.11, I can't verify 10.5.
Take a look here for TFF plugin support http://code.google.com/p/tenfourfox/wiki/ReleaseNotes240
Best to everyone. Long live the PPC!
BTW, BBC will be updating video with a different player that I have used on my 10.4.11, G4 1.5 PB. The update may not be complete until after the Sochi Olympics.

Feb 9, 2014 8:26 PM in response to iminthemixby BDAqua,I was wondering how Klaus1 got Flash on v. 24+, I could not in 10.4.11 or 10.5.8.

Feb 9, 2014 9:49 PM in response to BDAquaby iminthemix,BD- He says he can and that's what I know. It made me wonder so much so I fired up the old G5 iMac and jumped on just to make sure I had not made an incorrect statement. In fact, I just downloaded the last v24 of TFF on to my G4 PB I'm on this minute and Flash stuff did not work.

Feb 11, 2014 10:46 PM in response to Linby Lin,Well, I am still no further ahead. I have downloaded and installed the Flash 11.5 hack and tried it with five different browsers, and it is still being read as 11.1 by the version check on the Adobe Flash site. Frustrating!!!

Feb 12, 2014 9:55 AM in response to Linby iminthemix,Lin, on my OS 10.4.11 1.5 G4 Powerbook, in the Internet Plugins folder I show 11.5.502.136. When I visit the Adobe site,
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, and/or http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html it shows "You have version 11,1,102,55 installed."
This is the Nordkill version http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc
This is a direct download page for FPforFBPPC http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip
I currently use FP though I have tried Nordkill. I am able to view video on Facebook, Youtube [but I opt for HTML5, but standard page plays], Guardian, BBC [except BBC is not working correctly and will update so I am told after the Olympics], Al Jaz, RT. The typical video problem I have is related to the Site and high resolution which stifles playback. If you can, try a copy of "YouView." You'll be surprised how smooth video plays compared to online Flash.
Hope this helps.

Feb 12, 2014 10:06 AM in response to Linby iminthemix,BTW, this is the YouView site
https://mrgeckosmedia.com/applications/info/YouView
It is for Tiger OS 10.4.11. I do not know if it will work on 10.5. I use as I run 10.4 and have found it to be more stable than other's.
I've also tried MacTubes, I did not like it but you might. Take a look here

This did download and work.

Feb 12, 2014 3:37 PM in response to iminthemixby Lin,I do get the 11.5 version in the Internet Plugins, but 11.1 on the Flash version check.
I am using a G5 PPC, running 10.5 (which i do not like, but I need!).
I seem to be able to view most Flash apps, but they update so fast it is tough keeping up. But I still refuse to give up my PPC!
Thanks for all the help, and I will keep checking to see if anyone has a new hack for the latest Flash!!!!!!!!!!!!
