Q: Itunes want uninstall

Additional info: I recently purchased a new Dell Desktop and before I de-authorized it I (tried) backup my files and I changed the path to an external hard-drive.  I was working correctly until I tried to download and update to the new iTunes software.   I have tried restoring my PC to an earlier date, I have tried everything that I can and still no luck.  After I download and try to run the new ITunes (64bit) I get the same message error message: The folder Path “iTunes Jan 2013” contains and invalid character”.    At this point I don’t care about my library; I can re-down load the music & movies from the iTunes store and just reload the music that I want.  My Dell is almost new and I have a couple of new programs that I don’t want to lose.  I cannot believe what a head ache this update and caused.  If someone can assist me I would greatly apprieciate it.  I’m having no luck contacting Apple.  Thanks
