Uploading a book may hang, if your iPad is running out of memory. To assemble the book for printing, the iPad will need much more additional free memory than the  combined size of the photo files included. So check the free space on your iPad.

Have you tried to quit all apps and to reset the iPad?

    • To quit all apps, double tap the "Home" button. Then swipe the app preview page up.
    • To reset the iPad: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and keep them firmly pressed down, until the iPad will start up again and show the Apple logo.

Ran on wifi at public library

How reliable is the Wi-Fi there? You need a fast and reliable connection, or you will have problems with time outs.

Thank you - I checked the storage on ipad and it is at 45 G, I assume this is the memory, so that looks ok. I have also reset the apps. However don't have a wifi connection available at the moment. I think you may be right about the library connection. I will try other connections. Thank you

    Good luck.

Two other things to check, if the problem should persist:

    • You may have included a corrupted photo or a photo with insufficient pixel size, that cannot be printed. In that case you need to identify the problematic
    • Also, there may be a problem with your AppleID in combination with the Print Products Store you are using. The Print Products Store must be in the same country as your billing address, delivery address, and the country your AppleID and credit card are valid in. Check this page for print product support in your country:  http://store.apple.com/us/help/print_products/routing
At the top of the page for your country should be a telephone number, so you can contact the store. Sometimes the service is interrupted.
For the US it would be this page:  Apple Print Products - Apple Store (U.S.)

If there is such an option, it is not documented in the help. I have not found any way to preview the book on an iPad.

How did you send the PDF to your PC? It would be good to know for others who also have a PC.

Could you find anything in the pdf, that looked suspicious? Poor resolution? Missing photos?

Hi Leone, sorry it took me so long to get back, but I have tried another wifi connection and it must be better than one at the public library as I was able to upload my photobook without a problem and received email acknowledgement. I am eagerly awaitng the book.

PDF to PC - this was easy - after the apps have been synced with ipad still attached to PC go to Apps tab, scroll down to File Sharing header, there you will find all the apps where you can upload/download files between PC/Ipad, like iphoto, keynote and others. Click on the app name and in the next columns all files on that app will be displayed. Click on the file you want - select a folder on the PC and click. The file will then be loaded in that folder on the PC, works on PNG/JPEG files too.

    Cheers
