Q: Migration Assistant 10.9.1 to 10.9.1 over Thunderbolt does not work

1st Gen Retina MacBook Pro 10.9.1 to Brand new Macbook pro high end 10.9.1.  Each time one of the computers logs out.  Support has no fix other than to do a backup of old MBP and restore from disk to new computer.

I dont know how this can still be happening as searches on Google shows it failing the same way for quite a while overr different versions of the OS.

LAPTOP 1: Late 2013 MBP purchased Jan 15th 2014, highest end available.

I am experiencing the same problem.

I am trying to transfer data from my 2012 MacBook Pro 13" to my new MacBook Pro 13" Retina with the thunderbolt cable, but the destination Mac (the new one) comes up with the log on screen...

I would be very nice to have this fixed, because i have sold my old MacBook as per 1st of February!

I am also having this problem. I bought a new Mac Pro 2014 and I'm trying to transfer infromation from my old 2012 mac pro. When using the Migration Assistant, it says for me to choose what I want to transfer but doesn't actually shoes me anything, it seems like it's trying to read my old computer but after a while it goes back to the login.
