Q: I have an apple id I have set up but when I try to set up to install aps I can only go through a different id (example: the one I set up is: bob@gmail.com but this is what is popping up: bob@me.com). Does anyone know how to fix this?.

Hello. I am trying to install an ap. I have my apple id set up but it is asking me for the password to an apple id I dod not set up. Here is what it looks like:

(Example Only)     This is what I set up: bob@gmail.com

This is what I did not set up: bob@me.com

Any ideas? Thanks,

Erin

If the Apple ID you don't want is popping up when trying to download a new app, go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and update your Apple ID by tapping on it then signing out, then sign back in with the new one.

If the Apple ID you don't want is popping up when updating an App, then you will either need to ender the correct password for that other Apple ID or delete and redownload the App with your current Apple ID.

Thanks for your help! I am still seeing the "bob@me.com" popping up as the default. Any ideas on that?

If you are not currently signed into Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then it may be 'auto-filling' the me.com from Settings > iCloud.  That doesn't mean its signing into that ID for the Store, but it's just trying to make your life easier since you are usings that Apple ID already for another service on your iPhone.
