Q: How is this helpful?

How exactly is this helpful?  I can combine multiple PDFs but I can't save them into one PDF?  It was a huge let down to read all the way till the end to find out you can't save them.

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.4

    I agree it can be a nuisance to find your particular need is an exception to the rule  but it looks to me like most options are covered and the intention, I suppose, is to relate the question to 'most options'.

    Did you read the line before the one that is bothering you?

     

    If you have added pages to a document, you can Save or Save As… the new document. They are just warning you that the sidebar may contain more than one document, and the active document is the only one that will be saved.

    If you select the combined PDF, then go to the File menu, is there an Export AS PDF option?
