Feb 20, 2014 8:36 AM in response to Muzza14by Lawrence Finch,What do you mean by "the wrong IP address?" An iPhone connects to a WiFi network, then requests an IPaddress from the router. The IP address is assigned by the router, and can change from time to time. This should not matter, as you should never need the IP address.
In one special case - if the IP address displayed begins 169.254... this means the router did not assign an IP address, so the phone made one up. this will happen if the DHCP server that assigns IP addresses in the router has crashed. The usual fix for this problem is to reboot the router by removing all power from it for about 15 seconds.
