Q: Connection timeout

PowerMac G5 PC will not move beyond "connection timeout" when trying to access WiFi, and signal strength has full bars.  I'd be most grateful for anyone's time and advice!

G5 dual core 2GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    How strange!

S a test you might try this...

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

Thanks very much again--for now, the Mac is staying connected with Ethernet.  But if it gets bumped off again I will try creating the new admin account to see what happens--this is a great idea!
