Q: Deleting Photos in Aperture

I have been moving photos to trash and emptying the aperture trash. Does this delete the original and versions? If not how do I find the orginals and delete them.

Thanks

That will depend on the number of versions your images are having. If an image has several versions, and you delete one version and trash it, the original file will not be deleted, since Aperture needs it for the other versions of the same image. But if you trash the last version, the original files will also be deleted, when you empty the trash.  The originals will be moved to Trash on your Desktop.

    See Frank Caggiano's User Tip:

Deleting version also deleted the master

When your images are referenced, you get a choice, if the original files should be deleted as well:
