Mar 12, 2015 1:12 AM in response to jockowhiteby Nastbrute,I had this happen and I had no recent Previous iTunes Libraries so I simply closed iTunes, selected all of my iTunes music folder's contents and put it in the "Automatically Add To iTunes" folder. I restarted iTunes and in a short time everything came back up perfectly!

Mar 12, 2015 5:57 AM in response to Nastbruteby turingtest2,While this gives you a library with all of your media in it, you have lost ratings, play counts, playlists, date added details, etc., and if you have any Apple devices you may get an erase and sync warning when you try to update them. The solution presented in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates avoids all of these side effects.

Apr 27, 2015 8:15 AM in response to turingtest2by Jericho1234,Any advice?
After loading itunes on my macbook and selecting the Podcast tab, nothing loads. I am presented with a blank page under the area for the tabs: Home, Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc. Also, I am able to search for individual podcasts that I know exist, since the search bar is above the aforementioned tabs, which produces results, however no episodes appear under the podcast description. The rows and column titles (Name, Time, Released, Description, etc) appear but the rows and columns do not populate with episode data.
I am having the same issue with the App Store tab. This is all very strange considering that I am not having these issues with the tabs for Home, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Books, and ITunes U.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!

Apr 27, 2015 11:08 AM in response to Jericho1234by turingtest2,Click the button that says Library at the top right. Currently I think you're looking at the store.

The Library button takes me to my personal songs and such. In other words, the songs I have loaded into itunes. At one time I was able to look at Podcasts in the iTunes Store but for some reason, I am no longer able to do that. If I click on the Books button, for example, I get the following:
I can even search for individual books using the Search Store function. Unfortunately, the Podcast button will not produce similar results as you saw on the screenshots in my previous post.
I can search for a podcast and even click on the desired result however, no podcast episodes will actually populate. As you can see below, there are 301 total items (Total: 301 Items) but none are actually showing.

Apr 27, 2015 12:10 PM in response to Jericho1234by turingtest2,When viewing your library, rather than the store, there is a row of icons near the top left. One of these consists of three dots in a row, the ellipsis. Click on this, then enable any sections of your library that are currently hidden such as podcasts.

Jul 18, 2015 6:34 PM in response to turingtest2by onecutetomato,Thank you so much!
I updated to the latest version and lost recently added music; as well as the whole library going to the iCloud.
I did exactly as you said and it is perfect again.
Thank you for your easy to read instructions, for a non computer savvy person (like myself).
Kind regards

Aug 12, 2015 2:01 PM in response to turingtest2by cjhess,I just had this problem happen yesterday with two of my Macs. Both are using iTunes 12. Why would this happen? Nothing went wrong other than both computers showed this after having been brought back from "sleep." Living through iTunes 11 didn't seem to cause this for us.
